Zentangle Inspired Art Quilt

This little quilt was inspired by the Tangle a Postcard project by Jill Buckley in Zentangle Fabric Arts Quilting and Embroidery by Suzanne NcNeill.  These flowers are drawn on white cotton and filled with tangles using black Sakura micron pens and Pentel gel rollers for fabric.  Then I painted the flowers with Setacolor transparent fabric paints.  I pieced the checkerboard and braided border in scrap fabrics to match the paint colors.  I finished this little quilt with Zentangle-inspired quilting patterns: Mooka for the white background (a perfect continuous line background filler I've used several times before), and two other continuous line patterns: Echoism in the checkerboards and Evoke in the braids.  Reminds me of a Fiesta.
